February Events

For Children Accompanied By Their Caregivers:

Escape to Freedom: Reenactments of Stories from the Underground Railroad Saturday, February 21st 3-4pm
Imagine you're an escaped slave running away to freedom in 1858. You can't be seen for fear of being captured, so you travel at night using the Underground Railroad to escape to Canada. Based on the book, Escape to Freedom, by Barbara Brooks Simon, local historical interpreter Marilyn Larke will be reenacting the fictional stories of Callie and William as they escape to freedom and fall in love. Join us for book giveaways, a craft and refreshments in this very special program. For ages 5 and up.

Lego Club Wednesdays, February 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th 4:30-5:15pm
Enjoy playing with Legos? Children can build the wild vehicles, buildings and creatures in their imaginations! For all ages.

Little Storytime Mondays, February 2nd, 9th, & 23rd and Thursdays, February 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th 10:30-11:15am

Pajama Storytime Wednesdays, February 4th & 18th 7-7:30pm
You know you want your kids to read more, and bedtime is the perfect time to make reading a part of your children's daily activities. To that end, we're here to help! For ages 2-7.

Pop-Up Play Thursdays, February 5th, 12th, 19th & 25th 11:15am-12pm
For babies and toddlers, playing is learning! After our regularly scheduled storytime, join us for educational toys and pop-up books that parents and children can share to foster critical early literacy skills. For ages 0-5.
