Access Navigator Program

Pennsauken Free Public Library Selected for New Jersey’s Access Navigator Program,

New Service Begins in January

The Pennsauken Free Public Library is one of twelve New Jersey libraries chosen to participate in New Jersey Library Association’s Access Navigators Program. An Access Navigator, Jeff Bolmeyer, will join the library on Tuesdays beginning in January 2022, enhancing the library’s resources for job seekers and persons looking to build their career skills. The program will also provide digital literacy instruction for those wishing to improve their computer skills.

From assistance with resumes, cover letters, and job searching to help with computer-based applications and electronic learning aids, the Access Navigators program aims to provide individualized assistance for patrons. Anyone who would like to participate in the program will begin with a guided assessment to identify goals and then create a step-by-step plan to meet them.

Appointments with Jeff Bolmeyer will be available beginning January 4, 2022. Please call the library at 856.665.5959, ext. 3 to schedule an appointment. Jeff will also teach a 6-week Basic Computer Skills course scheduled to begin on January 25, 2022, that will cover using the internet and setting up an email account, as well as an introduction to Microsoft Office applications.

“We are delighted to participate in this program and to welcome our Access Navigator, Jeff Bolmeyer, to Pennsauken,” Library Director Tanya Finney Estrada remarked. “This program will allow us to enhance our services to the community by providing one-on-one support for patrons who need these resources and skills.” The Access Navigators Program is funded through the American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) funds, received by the New Jersey State Library (NJSL), through the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
