Get a Library Card!
Your initial Pennsauken library card is available free of charge to anyone who lives or owns a business in Pennsauken. Pennsauken public school teachers (pre-K to high school) as well as Pennsauken based business owners are also eligible for free cards. Pennsauken residents' library cards expire October 31st of every year. At that time, we request identification that verifies your Pennsauken address. Out-of-town membership cards are available for $45/year. Out-of-town members' cards expire one year from date of application. Cards need to be renewed with valid identification. A minor's card must be renewed with parental identification. Please keep your expired card; the renewal process only involves updating our computer with any address or phone number changes. Cards must be up to date and in good standing to borrow materials or access computers. New cards will be mailed directly to your home. Please allow seven (7) business days for receipt. You will not be able to check out materials until you have received your card through the mail.
All library items may be renewed twice, as long as there are no reserves waiting for that item or unless specified. Items may be renewed over the telephone during regular hours.
Please do not allow young children to renew by phone. Library materials must be returned to the Library during regular Library hours only.
Lost library cards need to be reported immediately. Patron is responsible for all materials borrowed on said card until it is reported lost or stolen. Replacement fee is $4 per card.
Borrowing privileges and computer access are suspended on all cards having a fine balance of $4.95 or more. This also applies to the parent/guardian who has signed for a minor child AND all children for whom that parent/guardian has signed
A valid up-to-date Pennsauken library card is necessary to utilize Library computer workstations. Non-resident patrons also have the option of purchasing an ONLINE RESOURCES# card for $10/year. This card will expire one year from the date of purchase.#Online Resources card allows patron to check in to the Internet directly at Reference. Patron may also check out e-books and e-audiobooks from the Library eBook page, and access all online databases supplied by the library through our webpage.
