Book Club

(For Ages 9-13): We’ll discuss Norton Juster’s “The Phantom Tollbooth.” When a tollbooth mysteriously appears in his room, Milo drives through only because he’s got nothing better to do. But on the other side, things seem different. Milo visits the Island of Conclusions (you get there by jumping), learns about time from a ticking watchdog named Tock, and even embarks on a quest to rescue Rhyme and Reason. Somewhere along the way, Milo realizes life is far from dull. Registration required.

Graphic Novel Discussion (Teens and Adults): We’ll discuss Tara O’Connor’s “Fly By Night.” Dee returns home to find her missing twin, a leader in the fight against a proposed pipeline through the NJ Pinelands, but only finds more questions connected to the Jersey Devil in the woods.

Popcorn & Pages Tween Book Club (Ages 9-13): We’ll discuss Laura Tarshis’ “I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic, 1912.” This New York Times-bestselling series brings history's most exciting and terrifying events to life.

My First Book Club (Ages 7-9): Please read ch. 1-11 and we will read ch.

(Adults): We’ll meet to discuss Matrix by Lauren Groff.

(Ages 9-13): We’ll discuss Laura Amy Schlitz’s “Good Masters! Sweet Ladies!” This Newbery winner immerses the reader in a 13th-century medieval village, giving everyone from the lord’s daughter to the town’s eel seller their say.
