Graphic Novel Discussion
On Monday, April 14th at 6:00pm
We’ll discuss Tara O’Connor’s “Fly By Night.” Dee returns home to find her missing twin, a leader in the fight against a proposed pipeline through the NJ Pinelands, but only finds more questions connected to the Jersey Devil in the woods.
On Monday, May 12th at 6:00pm
Chip Zdarsky’s “Public domain. Volume 1, Past mistakes.” This fun and heartfelt series explores a WILD ALTERNATE WORLD where comic book creators aren't properly acknowledged or compensated for their creations.

Deya Muniz’s “The Princess and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich.” A nobleman with a secret and a princess on a mission find love – and lots of grilled cheese sandwiches – when they least expect it, in this funny, heartfelt historical rom-com.

Popcorn & Pages Tween Book Club (For Ages 9-13)

We’ll discuss Laura Tarshis’ “I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic, 1912.” This New York Times-bestselling series brings history's most exciting and terrifying events to life.

On Saturday, May 17th at 3:00pm
We’ll discuss Mae Respicio’s “How to Win a Slime War.” Alex and his dad have just moved back to Sacramento to revive their extended family's struggling Filipino market. While Alex likes helping at the store, his true passion is making slime! Alex begins to sell his creations, leading to a sell-off battle with a girl who previously had a slime-opoly.

On Saturday, June 7th at 3:00pm
We’ll discuss Norton Juster’s “The Phantom Tollbooth.” When a tollbooth mysteriously appears in his room, Milo drives through only because he’s got nothing better to do. But on the other side, things seem different. Milo visits the Island of Conclusions (you get there by jumping), learns about time from a ticking watchdog named Tock, and even embarks on a quest to rescue Rhyme and Reason. Somewhere along the way, Milo realizes life is far from dull.

My First Book Club (For Ages 7-9)

Please read ch. 1-11 and we will read ch. 12 to the end of Disaster Squad: Wildfire Rescue at our meeting. We will also have some snacks and learn about Smokey Bear and Wildfire Prevention!
