In addition, the 6th Annual Readers Are Leaders Black History Month was a resounding success at Fine Elementary School.

On February 28, the Pennsauken Free Public Library hosted its 6th Annual Readers Are Leaders Black History Month Celebration at Fine Elementary School. The event brought local Black community leaders together with elementary students to share the joy of reading, learning, and exploring diverse stories that reflect both history and progress.
This year’s program was a great success, thanks to the continued support of the Pennsauken community. Local leaders visited classrooms to read stories and engage with students, providing a unique opportunity to meet role models who represent the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Principal Thomas Honeyman for hosting us and supporting this important initiative once again. His commitment to making this event possible helped create an environment where students could connect with leaders who are making a difference in their community.
We look forward to continuing this tradition of inspiring the next generation of leaders through the Readers Are Leaders program in the years to come.
